It’s 2015. What does that mean for you? For the Junior League of Hartford, it means that its time for their triennial “Designer Show House.” Together, with over a dozen designers, the have transformed the over 7,000 square foot bleak mansion at 64 Orchard Road in West Hartford into a true show house. The Designer Show House fundraiser opens Saturday, April 25th and runs until Sunday, May 17th. All proceeds from the event benefit the League’s charitable programs.
I’m (Krystal) a proud former member of the Junior League of Hartford. I was a part of the Designer Show House in 2012 and it was unbelievable to see the transformation to say the least. It never ceases to amaze me the true impact that the League has. What’s more impressive is that it’s entirely run by volunteers. Their projects have yielded national attention, won awards, and have been examples to other organizations looking to replicate high quality, successful, impactful projects. Find out more about the League’s projects here. I have no doubt that you’ll be impressed and surprised to see what they’ve had their hands in.
