  • Most popular

Brick/Stone

  • Can last decades, most durable
  • No ongoing maintenance
  • Fireproof
  • Will not rot or attract insects
  • Costly and needs to be professionally installed
  • Foundation needs to be able to support the weight of the brick

 

Wood

  • A more natural look
  • Can be painted/stained so you can change colors further down the line
  • Eco-friendly
  • Requires a lot of maintenance
  • Tends to attract rot, insects and decay

 

Metal

  • Durable
  • Low maintenance
  • Fireproof
  • Seamless
  • Difficult to paint and colors can fade
  • Can rust and dent

 

Stucco

  • Durable and long-lasting
  • Very little maintenance
  • Fireproof
  • Doesn’t attract insects
  • Cracking is possible
  • Requires professional installation
